Victoria Thayer

Victoria Thayer

Born in Venezuela with Ecuadorian heritage, Victoria Thayer grew up in a world vastly different from her current reality. Raised by a single mother, her family’s financial circumstances seemed destined to follow a familiar path. Her mother and grandmother worked as maids, but Victoria was determined to change the trajectory of her family’s future. From an early age, Victoria witnessed the financial hardships faced by her family, and she realized the importance of altering their circumstances. She resolved to pursue education to improve her family’s well-being and pave a new path for herself. Refusing to let circumstances define her or diminish her worth, she recognized that education offered boundless possibilities. Victoria’s dedication and hard work paid off as she achieved academic excellence and graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school. Her achievements earned her a scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the United States at University of Rochester in NY, further propelling her towards her goals. Over the past eight years of professional work, Victoria has immersed herself in the accounting profession, embarking on a journey filled with twists and turns. Embracing the unpredictability of life, she learned to navigate the challenges that came her way. While her initial foray into corporate accounting proved intriguing, it lacked the client interaction she craved. Seeking greater fulfillment, she transitioned into public accounting, specializing in auditing. The experience she gained in the field fueled Victoria’s desire to establish her own CPA firm and collaborate with small and medium-sized business owners. In 2023, she launched Novii CPA, offering relationship-based outsourced accounting and tax services to entrepreneurs. In addition to her professional endeavors, Victoria actively contributes to various organizations. She serves as a board member of the Madison Reading Project, an organization dedicated to promoting literacy and providing books to underserved children. Additionally, Victoria is a speaker for the WI Latino Chamber of Commerce, where she teaches accounting for business owners in Spanish. Her commitment to professional growth and community involvement is reflected in her membership in several committees, including the AICPA Emerging Leaders, WWBIC Advisory Committee, WICPA Young Professional Committee, and WICPA Federal Tax Committee. In recognition of her accomplishments and dedication, Victoria was honored with the 2023 WICPA Excellence Award – Young Professional. This prestigious accolade further motivates her to continue striving for excellence and making a positive impact in the accounting profession and the community at large.
