Christina Holcomb

Christina Graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside with a BS in Psychology in 2005, and Marquette University with a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2008. Christina has been a therapist for 15 years and has worked with a myriad of populations with a specialization in sexual abuse, sexual deviance and dysfunction as well trauma and abuse therapy, anger management, couples therapy, fammily reunification, intimacy issues and sex addiction. Christina Holcomb began her therapy work in sex offender rehabilitation therapy in the community, eventually transitioning to run the only program of its kind for the state of Wisconsin out of the Racine Correctional prison in sturtevant for 9 years. This program was designed to help sexual offenders on probation around the state who were showing sings of high risk rehabilitate in an intensive 11 week in-patient program at the prison. This program was shut down at the start of the pandemic, and Christina went into private practice for several years virtually before accepting the role as Clinical Director at the Greenfield, WI clinic for Nystrom and Associates. Christina uses a cognitive-behaviorally based approach with solution focused and psychoanalytical components as well as utilizing mindfulness and trauma-focused therapy to help clients achieve their therapy goals. Her hobbies include gardening, raising chickens and ducks, spending time with her family, backyard barbecues, reading, cooking, hiking, and anything related to the sun and the water. She lives on18 acres of land and greatly enjoy the outdoors and the beauty and peace that nature has to offer.
