Bud Matthews

With over 40 years of sales, marketing, and management experience in the consumer products industry with multiple Fortune 500 companies, most of which in senior leadership. I started Ascend Performance to help companies build productive sales organizations and overall people performance. This second career with Sales Xceleration began due to past associates, suppliers, and clients requesting help and guidance with their sales teams, employee selection and development, and coaching mostly related to activities within the sales area. In 2019, I earned a Certified Professional Coaching designation from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. This 9-month program is endorsed and supported by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the gold standard in coaching. I also earned an Associate Coaching Certification (ACC) from the ICF. The coaching skills learned help with working with owners and management personnel that are stuck and frustrated with company performance. At Ascend Performance, we understand the challenges companies face with finding and retaining top talent to stay competitive. We work with companies by providing a variety of validated assessment tools available for recruiters and HR professionals to make the process easier, more streamlined, and more efficient. Whether it is for selection of external talent, development of internal talent, or use in succession planning, we have the assessments companies need to attract, identify, develop and retain talent that drives strategic business outcomes. My background and experience lend themselves to companies in need of talent, sales, and coaching solutions, combined with Sales Xceleration’s proven success system, which makes Ascend Performance a resource companies can trust to grow their sales and boost their revenue. A few fun facts about Bud Matthews! He is a Distinguished Toastmaster, a three-time 140.6 mi Ironman Finisher, Chairman of the Stewardship Committee, Lector and Hospitality Minister at St. John Vianney Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In his spare time, he loves spending time at the family cabin with his wife Sandy in Wisconsin’s Northwoods with his three grandchildren, Nora, James, and Abby.
